7 Side-Splitting Kid Quotes to Make Your Day

Ever heard the old adage “kids say the darndest things?” There’s a reason for that, and chances are good that your kids have come up with some doozies of their own a time or two. Here are 10 side-splitting kid quotes that will make you roar with laughter and put a little sunshine in your day.

#1 – Mr. Matter-of-Fact

A woman took her 7-year-old son to see her mortgage advisor. He felt this was a very important occasion, and dressed himself appropriately in khakis and a button-down shirt. As the mother walked into the office with her son, he extended his hand and said, “Hello. It’s nice to meet you. I am not her husband.”

#2 – Candy Crush

A couple took their 5-year-old daughter to the grocery store, where they promised her some candy if she could behave herself through the entire trip. As they left the store, the little girl asked, “Can I have a Twik?” The mother realized what she meant and said, “Do you mean Twix?” to which the little girl replied, “No. I only want one.”

#3 – Falling Frozen

A 3-year-old little girl had just received an Elsa doll for her birthday. As the little girl kept trying to get Elsa to stand on her own, the doll would fall over. This went on for about 10 minutes before the little girl got frustrated and yelled, “C’mon, Elsa! Get it together!”

#4 – Belcro Soccer

The coach of a soccer team filled with 4- and 5-year-olds was trying to help the kids score more goals. He told them that they should kick the ball with the laces of their shoes instead of their toes. One little 4-year-old girl told the coach, “Umm, we’re in preschool. There’s only belcro (Velcro) walking around here.” This is one of the funniest kid quotes you’ll ever here.

#5 – Mouth Swiper

A family were on their way back from vacation and several hours into a very long car ride, an 8-year-old girl started to get very antsy. Apparently, this irritated her little five-year-old brother who said, “I wish you were Mr. Potato Head so I could take your mouth right now.”

#6 – Solemn Hilarity

A teacher who worked an after-school program was grading papers when a kindergarten girl walked up with a very solemn look on her face and said, “Do you want to know what I’m thinking about?” Immediately concerned, the teacher put down her pen and said she was very interested. The little girl simply said “dolphins” and walked away.

#7 – Gold Digger

In what is probably the best of all kid quotes, a second-grade teacher overheard two 7-year-old boys talking about their ex-girlfriends. As if this wasn’t hilarious enough, one boy said to the other, “She didn’t love me for me. She just wanted my money because she’s a gold digger.” The other boy started picking his nose, and said, “Like this? Ew! Gross!”

There’s no denying that things go wrong and leave you feeling aggravated. Sometimes, though, kids really can say the darndest things, and they’re sure to put a smile on your face – even if you’ve had a really, really bad day. The 10 kid quotes above prove it.
