Nickelodeons Storytime Live Lights Up Jacksonville

Nickelodeon’s Storytime Live at Jacksonville’s Times Union Center (which was gorgeous by the way) was one of most memorable experiences I’ve ever had with my beautiful daughters.  We sang, we danced…I cried!  This performance was invigorating beyond belief!  The entire place was filled with energy and cheer!

The pre-party, which took place the entire hour before the show, was spectacular within itself!  The girls and I had our picture taken, their faces painted, decorated cookies, picked up a souvenir, and ate cotton candy all before showtime!

Of coarse the Storytime adventure began with Moose and Zee.  They introduced our favorite Ni Hao Kai-Lan, who was going to attend a tea party in the clouds with her special friends.  She taught us that if we try new things, we may like them:)!   I especially appreciated the enthusiasm if the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts.

The adventure continued with the Backyardigans who were ruled by Mayor Stinky Pants in Filthingham.  They had to prove themselves in the Yucky Castle Festival of Dirt in which Mayor Stinky pants played dirty…the whole thing was amusing beyond belief and my girls were consumed with giggles and out right in stitches throughout this whole stinky episode:)!!

The Wonder Pets were WONDERFUL!  The puppets and the costumes were absolutely  awesome and realistic!  I do have to say that I was most impressed with the puppeteers of the Wonder Pets.  You could hardly tell where the puppet ended and the puppeteer began!  I enjoyed their singing and dancing as well…so much energy and electricity!

The grand finale consisted of the one, the only, DORA the Explorer…Dora Dora Dora the Explorer…Swiper no swiping…yes this song has been playing in my mind from the time my Madi girl was old enough to say vamanos!  Needless to say, I was thrilled to see her live and in action!  Major kudos for your energy and capturing the essence of your character, Dora!  Dora’s adventure was complete with Swiper, The Map, dragons, caves, and of coarse a castle…all topped off with the perfect fairy tale ending!!

All of our favorite Nickelodeon characters were sure to go out with a bang.  After that phenomenal performance they needed to pull out the big guns to WOW their fans just one more time!!   My girls and I sang “Shout” with the rest of the audience.  (EVERYONE shouted it out softer and louder!)  As I said in the beginning, I literally cried with joy as I watched them jump up and down with pure joy along with the other children in the isles!  Thank you to all who created this wonderful family experience…it is memories like these that make parenting worth while and are sure to last a lifetime!
