The Fingers on Your Hand, Sexual Healing for a Healthier Life (Second in Series)

Lori, “who is your best friend? I asked this very question to “Sunshine Mama’s” Lori McCluskey. Lori is the “hot” mama Florida editor that to me is a cross between Pink and Brooklyn Decker who appeared as the cover girl on the Sports Illustrated swim suit edition just last month.

Lori rattled off a good size list of friends she’s made in her 29 years the same way I did years back when asked this same question. Hey, I saw 29 in the 1970’s!

The person asking me continued by adding that he didn’t have enough friends “to count on his left hand.” I looked down and saw that he had the same five fingers I had. He went on explaining that to him a friend was one you could tell “everything, never being judged and always listened too and understood.”

When he said everything he said “EVERYTHING, Tom with no secrets or holding back any information, whatsoever” I could only come up with two back then. Lori’s list dwindled when I added that this included “all sexual secrets!”

Your list will dwindle too the same way ours did. You must be honest. You see, we all go through life meeting and being friendly to a lot of people but we only can trust a handful with certain sensitive information. Along with emotional and financial issues discussions regarding intimacy can be difficult. Funny, but those same issues are at the top of the list for a failed marriage/relationship.

How does this relate to Sexual Healing? I don’t care if you’re straight, bi or gay. I’m not one to judge. What I’m saying is that a healthy, enduring relationship must offer NO secrets whatsoever in AND out of the bedroom. Holding back or hiding any feelings or information from a partner is poison to a relationship. And remember that communication goes both ways.

I ask you once again…”how many friends are on your left hand now?

  • What awesome insight Mr. Tom! I know that it’s not always easy to confront any of the above issues in our daily routine with our significant others. I love the way that you put this into perspective… You make it sound so simple:) I guess it truly is the simple things in a relationship that can make it or break it! You can chalk this blog up to another home run in my mind! I can’t wait for next week! Thanks Mr. Tom!!
